Goals of the Workshop:

This workshop will bring together researchers, managers, and others to develop a collaborative Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change (ASCC) project at Crosby Farm Regional Park, managed by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation in Saint Paul, MN. This project will be expanded to include other floodplain forests within the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.

Specific objectives are:

  • Inform the study design and outline what will happen in years 1 and 2
  • Engage local managers and scientists in the ASCC co-development model through the co-creation of locally-relevant climate change adaptation strategies
  • Translate the ASCC experimental framework and design to an urban setting
