Annamarie Rutledge serves as a Research Scientist (Outreach Specialist) with Michigan Technological University, supporting NIACS and the USDA Forest Service. She joined the NIACS team in 2020 after completing her M.S. in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the University of Minnesota.
Annamarie is passionate about science communication and aims to synthesize information on the interactions between climate, forest ecology, and forest management to aid scientists and multiple stakeholder groups. Her graduate research focused on understanding water- and climate-related concerns on Minnesota’s North Shore to develop recommendations for interventions and investments in freshwater resources. She resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota and enjoys spending time up north on Burntside Lake, cheering on all Minnesota sports (yes, no matter what), and checking out local restaurants and breweries in the Twin Cities.
Annamarie is a member of the American Society of Adaptation Professionals.
