New York Forest Adaptation Planning and Practices Workshop (October 22-23, 2018)

The Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science and USDA Northern Forests Climate Hub are collaborating with Cornell Cooperative Extension and The Nature Conservancy to offer the Forest Adaptation Planning and Practices workshop for forest managers in New York. This 2-day workshop provides hands-on training in considering climate change information and identifying adaptation actions for natural resources management professionals whose focus is on sustainable management of forests and watersheds. Participants will receive coaching and feedback on their own real-world climate adaptation project.

Cost: $25. This tuition fee helps offset the costs of hosting the workshop and includes lunch and refreshments.

**This workshop has been approved for 11 CFE credits from the Society of American Foresters.**

Pre-Workshop Webinar: We hosted a pre-workshop webinar on October 16th at 2pm. This webinar introduced participants to the adaptation workbook, and provided some pointers for choosing a project and team to bring to the workshop. View the recorded webinar here.

Lodging: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel Vienna at $100/night (continental breakfast included). Please call (518) 734-5300 before October 1 and ask for the Agroforestry Resource Center blocked rooms to get the rate.
