New York Forest Adaptation Planning and Practices Workshop (October 22-23, 2018)

The Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science and USDA Northern Forests Climate Hub collaborated with Cornell Cooperative Extension and The Nature Conservancy to offer the Forest Adaptation Planning and Practices workshop for forest managers in New York. This 2-day workshop provided hands-on training in considering climate change information and identifying adaptation actions for natural resources management professionals whose focus is on sustainable management of forests and watersheds. Participants received coaching and feedback on their own real-world climate adaptation project.

October 22-23, 2018. Cornell Agroforestry Resource Center, Acra, NY

**This workshop was approved for 11 CFE credits from the Society of American Foresters. Attendance records were uploaded to the SAF website on 10/26/18**

We hosted a pre-workshop webinar on October 16th at 2pm. This webinar introduced participants to the adaptation workbook, and provided some pointers for choosing a project and team to bring to the workshop. View the recorded webinar here.
