NIACS created 2-page handouts of individual tree species projections for seven Ecological Sections in northern Wisconsin (see map). Foresters can use this information to get a better understanding of projected changes in your local area.
These results are summarized in the Climate Change Field Guide for Northern Wisconsin Forests. Only the top 35 tree species in each Ecological Section are shown in the field guide, due to space limitations. These handouts contain full tree lists, and they also contain more complete descriptions of the USFS Tree Atlas model results.
Refer to the map for the appropriate name of the Ecological Section you'd like to download.
