Description

Workshop. Field Day. Networking.

The New England Watershed Managers (NEWMAN) and the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS) are hosting a two-day workshop to consider the impacts of climate change on forested watersheds, with opportunities to learn how others are adapting New England forests to climate change. This workshop is geared to natural resource professionals and compliance, who work within, and manage water supply forests.

Tentative agenda:

* Day 1: Presentations from regional experts on the impacts of climate change to forested watersheds; and a half day guided field tour at a nearby location.

* Day 2: Half day interactive group activity using the Adaptation Workbook (forestadaptation.org/adaptation-workbook), and focused discussions guided by the NEWMAN watershed group.
