Our interactions and activities in the Framework:

We run a process model, LANDIS-II, to simulate ecosystem processes  based on mathematical representations of physical and biological processes. LANDIS-II is a spatially and temporally dynamic process model, meaning it allows processes to interact over space and time. LANDIS-II simulates processes such as succession and seed dispersal within grid cells, and allows interactions between cells. LANDIS-II is used to simulate ecosystem responses to novel conditions, such as climate change.

Results from LANDIS-II are used with other models and information to identify ecosystem vulnerabilities in Climate Change Response Framework Vulnerability Assessments.
