Michigan Forest Ecosystem Vulnerability Assessment and Synthsis

The Michigan Forest Vulnerability Assessment and Synthesis was specifically designed to address forests in Michigan's eastern Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula, and it is one of a series of similar assessments within the Northwoods. Over 40 managers and researchers contributed to the report, from a range of federal, state, tribal, non-profit, and private organizations. This panel of experts worked together to assess the vulnerability of different forest systems in the assessment area. Along with these final conclusions, you'll also find chapters on the current condition of forests in Michigan, observed and projected climate trends, and potential impacts of climate change on forests. Download the full report here.
